Well, this is it folks ... tonight at 8:30 ET on Bravo, I make my television debut. I'll keeping track of my screen time so that I know how much of my fifteen minutes of fame are left afterward.
I'll either come across as reasonably smart, or as a complete knob. I don't think there will be much space in between ... so by all means, enjoy.
I want to live my life taking the risk all the time that I don't know anything like enough yet.

- I'm an English professor. I completed my PhD at Western in September 2004, and was hired at Memorial University of Newfoundland. This blog started out as my way of keeping in touch with people -- giving friends and family the option of checking up on me at their leisure without the annoyance of frequent lengthy mass emails. It still does that, but has also become my personal forum for airing whatever happens to be on my mind. You have been warned.

Very well done, in my opinion, Dr Lockett! You hit just the right tone - very engaging (I expected no less). Smart factor ten, knob factor zero.
Wow, that was great. You were most of the show. It was the Chris Lockett show. Even every preview of what was coming up was you. Very insightful. Congrats.
