I recently walked down that corridor and witnessed people coming out of their offices saying "My powers gone. Is your power gone? Why is the power gone?". It seems like a very disruptive area right now. Boo on construction and, of course, asbestos.
Yes, it's a conspiracy, I believe it was created by couch makers and television producers. The outcome they are hoping for is that you go home and not do any work. Sadly, this conspiracy tried to wreck havoc in Windsor with a heavy snowfall in the morning when plows aren't really operating. It did not succeed.
I'm an English professor. I completed my PhD at Western in September 2004, and was hired at Memorial University of Newfoundland. This blog started out as my way of keeping in touch with people -- giving friends and family the option of checking up on me at their leisure without the annoyance of frequent lengthy mass emails. It still does that, but has also become my personal forum for airing whatever happens to be on my mind. You have been warned.
